🐱 The Story of Freddie & Penny

At the heart of Happy Tails are two very special cats: Freddie and Penny.

Freddie and Penny were rescued in the summer of 2025 after being found in poor conditions in a multi-cat household. Thanks to the incredible work of Cats Protection, they were cared for in isolation, foster care, and the shelter until they were ready to find their forever home.

When I met them, something magical happened.

Despite everything they had been through, they weren’t shy or fearful.
Instead, they ran straight over to me. They were curious, affectionate, and full of life.

From that moment, they became family.

Freddie, with his sleek coat and playful energy, quickly proved he was a littleballofchaosandlove. He’s always the first to investigate new toys, climb into boxes, or demand attention.

Penny, slightly fluffier and wonderfully independent, balances Freddie perfectly. She’s calm, thoughtful, and loves to supervise everything happening in the house (especially if treats are involved).

Together, they are the trueCEOsof Happy Tails.

Every toy we test, every blog we write, and every idea we create is inspired by them.

💗 What It Means to Be a Cat Mum

Being a cat mum isn’t just about feeding bowls and cleaning litter trays.

It’s about:

🐾 Giving a rescue cat a second chance
🐾 Learning every tiny personality trait
🐾 Laughing when they steal your seat
🐾 Worrying when they’re quiet for too long
🐾 Celebrating the silly, the sweet, and the mischievous moments

It’s a relationship built on trust, patience, andunconditionallove.

And for many of us, our cats are more than pets. They are family.
