The first birthday of the Happy Tails CEOs

On Monday 23rd March, something very special is happening at Happy Tails…

Freddie and Penny are turning ONE! 🐾

It’s hard to believe that a whole year has passed since these two incredible cats came into the world. In that short time, they’ve filled our home with chaos, laughter, cuddles, and endless inspiration. They’ve also become the heart and soul of the Happy Tails brand.

Today, we’re celebrating everything that makes Freddie and Penny so special.

🐱 From Rescue to Royalty

Freddie and Penny’s story didn’t begin in the easiest way. They were rescued in summer2025 after being found in poor conditions in a multi-cat household. When CatsProtection stepped in, the kittens were taken into safety and began their journey toward a better life.

They went through isolation, foster care, and time at the shelter before I met them.

And the moment I did, something magical happened.

Despite everything they had been through, theywerenotshyatall. Instead, they came straight over to me, full of curiosity, love, and pure kitten energy. It was impossible not to fall in love instantly.

By the end of June2025, Freddie and Penny were finally home.

💙 Freddie: The Chaos CEO

Freddie is the bold adventurer of the pair.

He’s playful, demanding, affectionate, and just a little bit dramatic. If something exciting is happening in the house, Freddie is guaranteed to be right in the middle of it.

He’s the king of:

• Toy explosions across the living room
• Surprise zoomies at 3am
• Demanding cuddles at the most inconvenient moments

But underneath all that chaos is a cat who is incredibly loving and loyal.

Freddie has a big personality and an even bigger heart.

💗 Penny: The Calm Queen

Where Freddie brings chaos, Penny brings grace.

She’s thoughtful, clever, and quietly confident. Penny loves to observe everything happening around her before deciding whether she wants to join in.

She’s the queen of:

• Perfect loaf positions
• Elegant window watching
• Strategic toy stealing from Freddie

She might be a little more independent than her brother, but she is just as loving in her own gentle way.

And when Penny decides it’s cuddle time, it feels like the greatest honour.

🐾 The Inspiration Behind Happy Tails

Freddie and Penny didn’t just change my life, they inspired an entire brand.

Happy Tails grew around their personalities, their adventures, and the joy they bring every day. From blog posts and social media to toys and treats, they are truly the mascots and CEOs of everything Happy Tails stands for.

They remind us that cats deserve love, enrichment, play, and a safe home where they can thrive.

And they remind me every day why I started this journey.
